On 29 August 2026, Sahacogen Green Co., Ltd. participated in the “Zero Burn to Earn” initiative at Lao Fu Chinese Language School in Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province. The initiative promotes the systematic management of agricultural residues by transforming them into value-added resources that generate income for farmers, while reducing open burning and mitigating fine particulate matter (PM2.5) pollution.

The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Also were Ms. Piyarat Tiyapairat, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with representatives from government agencies, private-sector organizations and relevant network partners.

The “Zero Burn to Earn” initiative aims to establish an effective agricultural residue management mechanism at the source through collaboration among farmers, communities, government agencies and the private sector. By returning agricultural residues to productive use instead of open burning, the initiative creates additional income opportunities for farmers and contributes to the long-term reduction of air pollution and PM2.5.

As part of the initiative, Sahacogen Green signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with network partners to promote and support the utilization of agricultural residues, particularly as biomass fuel. This collaboration aligns with the Company’s sustainability approach, which focuses on resource efficiency, clean energy development and shared value creation with local communities.

The Company was represented by Mr. Pornsak Chueamueangphan, Sustainability Division Manager, and Mr. Arthit Mattaphan, Biomass Division Manager. Their participation reaffirmed Sahacogen Green’s commitment to sustainable agricultural residue management, the exchange of knowledge and best practices in biomass utilization, and cross-sector collaboration that delivers tangible environmental, social and economic benefits.

The “Zero Burn to Earn” concept transforms agricultural residues from materials requiring disposal into valuable resources. Farmers can sell agricultural by-products to generate additional income, while private-sector organizations can use these materials as inputs for energy production and other value-added products. This approach supports a circular economy and creates shared benefits throughout the value chain.
