RATCH PATHANA ENERGY Joins Forces with CSSC–KMUTT to Harness AI in Analyzing Solar Power Plant Performance

RATCH PATHANA ENERGY PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED, a leading group of small power producers (SPP) and related businesses, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC), operating under the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), to jointly develop a performance analysis platform for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The collaboration is designed to elevate the management of Thailand’s solar power plants to the highest standards of efficiency.

The partnership centers on applying AI and ML to monitor, analyze, and forecast the performance of power generation systems. These capabilities will enhance the accuracy of data analysis, reduce losses across the electricity generation process, and support predictive maintenance, ensuring that renewable energy is managed with maximum efficiency and long-term sustainability. The initiative also aims to strengthen workforce capabilities in digital and AI technologies, building readiness for the future expansion of clean energy investment.

Beyond developing the data analytics platform, the project places strong emphasis on building workforce capabilities in digital and AI technologies to support the future expansion of renewable energy investment, while establishing a foundation for energy asset management that is efficient, transparent, and data driven. The MOU signing ceremony between RATCH PATHANA ENERGY PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED and the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC), under the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, was held on 25 June 2026 at the SILK 2 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok. The agreement was signed by Assistant Professor Dr. Bunyaphat Suphanit, Director of the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute, KMUTT, together with Mr. Worayot Thongtan, Director, and Dr. Klahan Suksawai, Managing Director of RATCH PATHANA ENERGY PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Dhirayut Chenvidhya, Director of the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC), and Mr. Jaturong Korawej, Power Plant Management Manager of RATCH PATHANA ENERGY PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED, alongside executives, energy experts, and members of the media who gathered to mark this significant collaboration.
